Information

Timber slat panels bring the warmth of real wood to a room while they absorb sound. Veneered MDF slats sit on a black acoustic PET backer and hang on a hidden Z-bar. Choose from five veneers, from light oak to walnut. They suit restaurants, receptions, offices and halls.

Warmth and control

The slats are MDF faced in natural wood veneer with a clear matt lacquer, set on a 10mm black-stained fire-retardant PET backer. Sound passes between the slats into the backer and the insulation behind it.

The data sheet gives sound absorption Class A and reaction to fire B-s1,d0 (manufacturer's data).

Fixing

Z-bars are fixed to the wall and the panels hook on to them, so no fixings show. A fixing strip and insulation sit behind the panels. Panels are 2400 × 600mm, with other sizes on request, and can be cut with a circular saw or hand saw. For ceilings, see timber ceiling slats.

The data sheet gives sound absorption Class A (manufacturer's data). The effect in a room depends on how much wall is covered and what sits behind the panels; we will advise on coverage.

What fire class are they?

B-s1,d0 to EN 13501-1 with the fire-retardant PET backer (manufacturer's data).

Are the slats real wood?

The slats are MDF faced with natural wood veneer: Light Oak, Smoked Oak, Walnut, Charcoal Grey or Grey Oak.

Can they be fitted to an existing wall?
